psPack is a free and open tool for in simulation of thermodynamical processes in internal combustion engines. The basis for the DAE formulation used in the simulation is investigated in the doctoral dissertation "A DAE Formulation for Multi-Zone Application to CVCP Engines" by Per Öberg.

Installation and requirements

The code runs on a variaty of Matlab versions. I currently use V7.11 and while it should be possible to use with older or newer Matlab versions Matlab is prone to strange bugs, and some Simulink models may be sensitive to downgrading which complicates things somewhat. Installation is simple, just download the package and unpack the package archive. On a system with Gnu tar, it looks something like

%> tar -xvf psPack-preRelease-02.tgz
